A question for pro-choicers beings a bunch of Abortion post are popping up on my dash.

Those of you that are Pro-Choice and think it’s perfectly okay for a woman to have an abortion please answer me this…would you abort a litter of puppies/kittens or any other type of animal for that matter? Or would you think that was cruel? If you wouldn’t please explain to me how that is cruel and aborting a human baby isn’t. I am Pro-Life and curious as to what people will answer to this question. 

Yes. I would. There’s an animal population problem right now, because people won’t spay or neuter their pets. Those animals are then born into a life of abuse. 

However, while animals can communicate, they cannot speak to give consent to this.

Do you know what happens to unwanted animals?

They’re beaten. Kids throw fireworks at them. They’re sold to laboratories and live a life full of vivisection and poisoning. They’re thrown away. They’re given to shelters where they live in cold concrete stalls. If they’re lucky, they’re given euthanasia. However, most are killed by gas chambers, arsenic poisoning, or being beaten.

I oppose all of that.

Living, sentient beings should never, ever have to suffer through that. Ever.

Also, if you’re pro-life and think all of the puppies and kittens in the world are cute, are you a vegan? Because sentient beings suffer to put meat and eggs and dairy on the table.

Humans can make a choice to have an abortion, animals cannot because I don’t think they even know what an abortion is. I agree 100% with Alex. 

That’s why it’s called being Pro-Choice, we make a decision for ourselves, and we want everyone else to have the same fundamental freedom. An animal can’t choose or verbally give consent to an abortion so your argument doesn’t really make much sense (speaking to tiffanyannelise).
